Get your Marae connected

Great news this week with the decision to spend $1.4 million dollars on connecting maraes in our big cites to the internet.
This money is in addition to the $21 million announced last year to connect more rural and provincial towns and marae to the internet.
It’s so important, as we begin the economic recovery from the impact of COVID-19, that as many of our people as possible are able to access the internet.
The marae digital connectivity programme is a partnership between Crown Infrastructure Partners, the Provincial Development Unit and Te Puni Kōkiri.
Already we have connected 123 marae around the country. Now A further 43 marae in the big cities will be eligible to apply for a connection.
So make sure your whānau know about this and make sure you get connected.
